Testing My Endurance w/ Scott Kemp
It’s so important to track progress. For years I see the same guys in the gym doing the same workouts with the same weights and they look the exact same! Swallow your pride and take accountability for your work. If progress is not coming your way then something has to change. I want you guys to test your endurance and start keeping track of this every few weeks. Endurance is such an important element on the paintball field. Even the most well-trained athletes still get winded.
We are going to measure what’s known as your VO2 max. This is the maximum amount of oxygen your body is capable of utilizing during high-intensity cardio or training. You can always improve your VO2 max with proper training and nutrition. This is a great tool to use to see where you are at. Perform this test every 3 weeks and see if you are improving.
On a treadmill or map out a distance, you will run 1.5 miles as fast as you can. Record your time, with a stop watch or your phone.
