You’ve seen the timed drill we run. Run and shoot to the corner, then switch to a target in your mirror. Once you hit the corner target your time stops. You’re time doesn’t count if you don’t hit the back center target.
It’s great to see who’s been working on their speed and running and shooting but we haven’t really practice it for any extended period of time. Once we finally did, I noticed a pattern. If someone initially start left or right of the target, they generally stay that way throughout the whole run.
I decided to simply the drill even more and just work on those first few steps. If you can get the first few balls on target, you tend to stay on target all the way through the run.
