That’s all it takes to eliminate a player, yet we shoot thousands of paintballs each match. That’s not to say we’re doing something wrong because it’s part of the game but the more accurate you are, the better chances you have of eliminating an opponent.
Here is a simple drill I make everyone do in my clinics. It doesn’t matter your skill level or experience. This is an excellent way to warm up your shot before the day begins and it doesn’t take much paint.
Line up from half field distance or more and start with your barrel down as if you’re going to shoot off the break. Have a friend or do a silent count if your head to “go.” Pull the gun up and take one shot at a pole or target in sight. Lower your barrel and do it again. Take 10-20 shots then switch hands.
It’s very simple but trust me, it helps warm up your shot. I do this all the time. Especially if I know I’ll be shooting off the break.
