We have the progression drill and also the 2v2 or 3v3 on either side with a race to the 50. This somewhat combines both into an easy to run 1v1 situation. This is great if it’s just you and a friend at the field drilling and doesn’t require a full team.
We ran this on both the dorito and snake side. The placement of the defender will change based on the layout. Put them in spot that is likely occupied by the oppositions mid/support player. Place the attacker in a bunker that is most likely his primary spot on the break out (in this case, the mayan right before the doritos).
The goal of this drill is all about speed. It’s the attackers job to push the envelope and get through his bunker progression as quickly as possible. Obviously the goal of the defender is the exact opposite. Slow him down, and make him earn each bunker.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
